About EcoFairfield

EcoFairfield builds bridges of understanding by fostering friendship, knowledge sharing, and conversations that matter.
We organize events that bring the community together to celebrate and support local initiatives, expertise, and talent. Our events promote conservation, healthy living, service, local business, and the arts in a welcoming and open-minded environment.
EcoFairfield was founded in 2011 by a group of local college students who wanted to serve, connect, and inspire the Fairfield community with a festival celebrating local sustainability initiatives. Through the collaboration of dozens of volunteer organizers over the following years, EcoFairfield has hosted many events and been honored to partner with a variety of groups including Iowa State Extension, Maharishi University’s Sustainable Living Department, Fairfield Public Library, Jefferson County Master Gardeners, Green Iowa Americorps, Leopold Group (our local Sierra Club chapter), Naturewise Academy, Fairfield Arts and Convention Center, the Dharma Foundation, fashion designers including Natural Selections and Blue Fish Clothing, the Sustainable Living Coalition, and Prairie Song Farm.
EcoFairfield is a non-profit start up, currently sponsored by the Sustainable Living Coalition, a 501c3. Tax deductible donations can be made to EcoFairfield. Each event provides unique sponsorship opportunities for local and corporate sponsors. Please e-mail ecofairfield@gmail.com for more information.
